- With so many new technologies emerging all the time, it can be hard to focus and set priorities. This exercise will give you a chance to practice. In order to lead a digital transformation, you need to have a plan that can help you tackle short-term challenges while making progress towards long-term goals. I call this plan a Supply Chain Transformation Roadmap, because it describes where we are today, where we're trying to go, and what milestones we'll need to pass in order to get there. A good way to facilitate this brainstorming process is by creating a chart, with the core supply chain processes listed across the top and the new technologies listed down the side. In each square, you can think about how supply chains are changing. For example, how will the Internet of Things change the way that we plan our supply chains?
