- Sometimes a program doesn't have impact because the model itself was poor, and other times it doesn't have impact because the model wasn't implemented properly in the real world. In this video, we're going to focus on the process evaluation, which is specifically looking at how well the program was implemented. The process evaluation involves looking at many different aspects that can be thought of as having five main components. The context in which the program is run, the reach of the program, the services delivered, the engagement of the target group, and the quality of the intervention. Let's break these down a little. The context includes understanding the larger social, political, and economic environment that influence the implementation. Within a corporate environment, this includes an understanding of the other competing programs and priorities within the company, as well as influences from the external environment.
