- At Red 30, we were building a powerful cloud platform for a core product. It was like a finely tuned automobile, and it required peak performance from its drivers, which was our team. We knew if we pushed too hard, without regular maintenance, without time to develop the team skills, and without caring for the very creators, and operators of that platform, it wouldn't just slow down, it would crash. - Our team members had been working long and hard without the ability to refresh themselves, and were starting to show signs of burnout. So we started by encouraging everyone to maintain a good work-life balance, to take their PTO, and not overwork on a routine basis.
