Finding the right toolset
- [Instructor] As we roll out DevSecOps, one of the most important things that we can do is find the right tool set. It's also one of the hardest things to do because sometimes we just don't know where to start. The best place to start is to look and see what you're currently doing. It's very possible that some of the tools you're currently using will work just fine in a DevSecOps pipeline. But at the same time, don't be afraid to throw out the old tool set and go with a new tool set if what you're doing doesn't work. And make sure that the tool selection is a team effort. Remember, developers and security are partners in the DevOps team. We need to work together to make a tool selection, not make one in isolation. It's important to make a tool selection that will support developers and work with the tools that they use. So when making a tool selection, what should we ask?
