Developing a brief
- Before starting the design process, it's helpful to carefully quantify the icons you need and their requirements. The best way to do this is through the use of a design brief. If you've worked in an agency or done design work for a client, you've probably worked with creative briefs before. If you haven't, these are documents that detail the scope of the work and define the goals of the project. These briefs can be as general or as detailed as you need. As a way of introducing the project for our course, I want to go over a sample design brief for the icons that I've created. So here I'm opening up the icon-brief.pdf file. Now, if any of you want follow along with me and you have access to the exercise files, you can find this in the 02_01 directory.
