- [Instructor] Let's take a look at the third design fundamental and that is typography. Simply put, type can make or break a design so we want to make wise type choices as we approach our design and specifically the project we're going to try to create. So, let's take a look at the first thing I want to cover and that is font formats because some of this is changing here pretty soon. And I want to give you the best practices from this point moving forward. And that is, there's two types of formats you could use on your project. Now, whether you use a PC or whether you use a Mac, both of these formats are cross platforms. So that's a good thing. The older format is called true type format and the newest format is called OTF or open type format. Now if you can get an open type format font, that's the best option of everything.
