- [Instructor] A good infographic should meet most if not all of the following criteria. The elements of the infographic, illustrations, symbols, data visualizations, and the supporting text should tell a cohesive story. It should take a large amount of information and make it easier to understand than text. It should provide a new angle, a new way of seeing familiar information. The infographic should present the information in a way that is both logically and visually organized with hierarchy and navigational cues. Of course, it should be visually appealing. It should make good use of type and color. Because the goal of an infographic is to communicate information as efficiently as possible, if it contains multiple messages, the viewer may be confused.
