In this lesson, I'm going to explain some techniques for troubleshooting OSPF. Now, when we start to talk about troubleshooting OSPF, we need to break it down into three categories. The first category is, were we able to establish an OSPF neighbor adjacency? Because if we aren't, we can't even move forward. After that, then we're going to look at why might we be missing some routes expected in the topology. Then the last thing is, how do we actually troubleshoot the OSPF path selection? Let's go ahead and let's look at the various states that are associated with a neighbor as it's going through the lifecycle of being an OSPF router. Now, I'm not going to read through all of these, but if you want to pause the video right now, you can definitely do that and take a time just to read through these.
