So let's go through how an application will forward traffic to another application. So the first thing that's going to happen is the PC is going to generate data within the application layer. And what's going to happen is that application is going to go down the OSI model, down to the Layer 3 processing. And it has to decide, is it going to stay local to the PC, or is it going to go off to remote PC. If it's going to stay local, it'll just go back up the stack to the appropriate components through the rest of the OSI model. However, in this case, PCA is going to be sending information off the PCB. So, what's going to happen is that the Layer 3 level, we're going to add on to the packet or the headers, the destination IP address, and that's going to happen again at the network layer of the OSI model.
