Let's talk about how we're going to go through and troubleshoot some of the common issues with EIGRP v6. Now as I said before, earlier on, EIGRP v6 is so similar to EIGRP for IV4 that you could do almost all the exact same steps and processes with a slight change to some of the commands that's actually happening. So you do need to know that the show commands that will display the information need to trouble are related to eigrpv6. So to start with, the following parameters must be checked on the two routers. We need to make sure that eigrpv6 is active, and you can do things like using the command show ipv6 eigrp interfaces, and if this router ID is missing, it will tell you this. That's one of the first things that you should do is run the command show ipv6 eigrp interfaces. Now, if an interface is missing and you're using class configuration, then go back and make sure the configuration on the interface is applied.
