- Whenever I start a new project in DaVinci Resolve, there are always a few Project Settings that I set before I do anything. Why? Because the moment I add footage into the media pool, or the moment I create a single timeline, certain settings get locked down. Just to be clear, the system preferences we looked at in the previous movies, those are persistent, across all projects, all databases. What we're looking at now, Project Settings, only apply to this project. So, every project can have a completely different set of settings. You don't have to worry about making a change here that will affect your other projects. Now, as you've seen in a previous movie, DaVinci Resolve has a ton of Project Settings. We're only going to look at the few of them right now that absolutely require our attention. What are those? Let's take a look, and we're going to continue with Chapter 04a - Overview.
