- [Presenter] Data mesh is an architecture pattern that slots data into different domains and sub-domains that are organized by category. No matter which type of business you have, I'm guessing you have at least four types of data, HR, marketing, product, and legal. You probably do different types of marketing to spread the word about your business. There's digital marketing to run ads online, search engine optimization to help users find your website, physical campaigns on billboards, and content to help prospects learn what you offer. Under data mesh, marketing is one of your data domains because it's a core part of your business that generates a lot of data. The four types of marketing, online ads, SEO, billboard campaigns and content, are their own sub-domains, and your chief marketing officer is the data steward for all five data domains and sub-domains.
