- [Instructor] Having ethical principles is one thing, but who makes sure they're followed? When your organization is deciding whether to implement a new AI diagnostic tool or expand an existing algorithm to new patient populations, somebody should be responsible for asking the hard questions and making tough calls. This is where formal ethical review process is coming. They are the ones who turn your ethical commitments into decisions about AI systems. Think of this as an engine that can take any proposed AI system and determine if it aligns with your ethical commitments around respect for people, doing good, and fairness that we discussed earlier.
