Using a public dataset in BigQuery
- [Instructor] You can collect different data sources with BigQuery but for the purpose of this course, we're simply using the public datasets available in BigQuery. Google Cloud hosts over 200 free public datasets. They're powerful resources for you to practice data analysis. You can view the full list of public datasets available on Google Cloud at cloud.google.com/datasets. In our previous video, we mentioned that we're going to use BigQuery and the Looker Studio to tell a story and we are going to analyze the change in global temperature in the past 100 years. To answer this question, we can utilize the GSOD dataset that is one of the public datasets hosted on Google Cloud. GSOD is the acronym for Global Surface Summary of the Day weather data.
