Updating an existing BigQuery data source in Looker Studio
- [Instructor] In the last video, we used the string functions to extract the decade dimension from the years, and we updated the query. In this video, instead of adding a new data source, we're going to update the data source in Looker Studio. To update a data source, we choose the resource category in the top menu and then click manage added data sources. And then we find the data source we want to update and click on the Edit button. Here is the part that is less intuitive. To update the connection, we need to click on the Edit Connection button on the top left. The rationale is the editing connection was one step back in the process when we created the connection. But I do think the interface can be more intuitive. Once we're here, since we don't need to change the view, we can simply click the Reconnect button on the top right to refresh the view.
