- [Instructor] While LabVIEW has many powerful tools to analyze and visualize data, Microsoft Excel is still a go-to tool for many scientists and engineers to review data and build reports. So, there's an add-in for Excel that enables you to open TDMS files. If you used the standard options when installing LabVIEW and DAQmx, your installation should already include the Excel TDM Importer tool. However, if you need to install it on another computer to open TMDS files elsewhere, you can find it on ni.com by searching for TDMS, Excel. Select this first result for TDM Excel add-in for Microsoft Excel download, click the link on the right to download the installer, run the installer, and then follow the prompts. After you've installed the add-in, you'll be able to open TDMS files with Excel by right clicking on the file, selecting Open With, and then selecting the Excel Importer, and click Okay.
