First on our list is phishing, one of the most common and effective cloud security threats. Phishing attacks trick users into giving away sensitive information, like your passwords, by posing as trusted companies or colleagues. A typical phishing email might warn you about suspicious activity on your cloud account or ask you to update your payment information. Clicking the link takes you to a fake login page designed to steal your information. Even with strong security controls, phishing can bypass defenses because it targets people, not systems.
