- [Narrator] Cybersecurity doesn't stop when you log off of work. In fact, your home is often the first line of defense, especially if you work remotely or use personal devices for business. Let's explore some ways to secure your home network devices and your personal data. Let's start with the heart of your home network, your Wi-Fi router. Make sure you change the default admin credentials. Yes, those factories set username and passwords are widely known and searchable on the internet. Then make sure your Wi-Fi is using secure encryption such as WPA2 or WPA3. That prevents attackers from snooping on your internet traffic. Next, let's talk passwords. Please, please, please don't use easy-to-guess passwords such as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or your pet's name with an exclamation point.
