Imagine this. You're out celebrating with friends at a restaurant. Your enjoyment is eclipsed when the salmon you ordered is overcooked. After searching for your server and letting them know, they tell you they can't do much and bring the manager to help you resolve the issue. Do you see what you did there? You identified who can help you. First the server, then the manager. They are considered the stakeholders in this situation. Like this situation, you already have some techniques for identifying stakeholders in your daily life. In this lesson, you're going to become a wizard at identifying key stakeholders within an organization. So what exactly are stakeholders? Stakeholders are those who may be affected by or have an effect on the outcome of a project or company goal. One way to characterize stakeholders is by their relationship to the effort in question.
