(bright music) - Now that you've had a chance to work through the exercise file, I'm going to show you my edits. Remember though, there are many different ways that you could have changed the text to make it more legible for an online audience. Follow along and see if you made similar changes. First, let's look at the original text and then the version I created from it. You'll find a more readable copy of my revised version in the exercise file. I only asked you to mark what edits you would've made, but I've gone ahead and made the changes so that you can see the end result. You can see immediately that the edited version is shorter. There was quite a bit of text in the original version that wasn't necessary to get the key points across. The author talked in the first person quite a bit, but the background story he told seemed to get in the way of the points that he was trying to make. Although he was probably trying to be chatty and approachable, it wasn't respectful of his readers'…
