- [Instructor] We've already created a basic roof. We've followed the directions that Revit has given us. And now, this is the result that we've gotten. Now, let's see how we can further control and customize the slope and the shape of the roof. But before we do that, let's take a quick look at the example that we are trying to reproduce. Can you see a problem? Look at that. This is a gable roof instead of being a hip roof and we don't have as much of an overhang. Let's see if we can fix that up. Yeah, this looks entirely different. So here we are, we are on the roof plan. I click the roof, we go into edit footprint. Now, the first thing I'd like to do is move the roof lines to their correct position. I seem to have too deep of an overhang. Let's window to select all of the sketch lines, change the overhang. A minimum of six inches. Let's just check.
