- We do not want your video resume on the digital shelf collecting dust. What are the best ways to get your video resume seen? Here are some of your options. If you are applying to a job, go ahead and link the video resume in the cover letter portion or in the body of the email you're sending. In your application, I recommend saying something like, "I created a video resume to show why I'm a good fit for Company. It's under a minute. And hyperlink the words "video resume" or paste the URL after this statement. If the company has a strict policy about not looking at images or videos of a candidate due to their commitment to reduce bias in the hiring process, then adding a link like this gives them the option to go watch it or skip it.
