- Hello, thanks for joining me today for strategies to lead the career of your dreams. These are going to be the items that I wish I knew when I was starting out early in my career, as well as some missteps to avoid. I have two millennial girls who are in their early career, and I'm always sharing tips and advice with them, everything from how to deal with the bully in the office to how to ask your boss for a raise. And my girls said, "Mom, there are so many women out there "who would really benefit from this type of advice," so I said, why not? That's what we'll be doing today. I'm Kim Martin, executive coach and public speaker. I spent 25 years in the entertainment and media industry. I worked at Discovery in sales for many years. Then, I ran a women's television network at AMC Networks, and most recently, I was at Meredith Corporation as a C-suite executive. Today, I'm going to share with you tips, hacks, mistakes to avoid, all types of information that will hopefully be valuable for you as you're creating the career of your dreams, so let's get started.
