- [Instructor] The Rive interface is a great example of what I mean by deep and indulgent. The whole process begins when you create a new file, right up here. And the first thing you want to do when you create a new file is to create an artboard. And as you can see, you get a number of choices here, or you can just go with the default, which is 500 by 500. So I'll just create the default artboard. As you can see, the interface is divided into three areas. Up here are the tools, and over here is the access to Design Mode and Animate Mode. The panels are similar to those you're accustomed to. The Assets panel is where external assets, such as images and illustrations, appear. We also have the Hierarchy panel, and that's basically a Layers panel. And you need to understand that when you're working with Rive, all layers are built upon a parent-child relationship, with the artboard being the parent.
