Adding EQ in GarageBand
- [Narrator] EQ gives you the ability to sculpt the sound of a track in a way that is not possible with simple level and pan adjustments. Now the loops that we're dealing with already sound great, so you may not need to EQ them at all, but GarageBand comes with a pretty great EQ, so I'd like to show you how to use it. So I'd like to solo our drum loop and then we'll show our smart controls and click the EQ button. And then if we want to see a visual representation of the frequency content of this drum loop, we can click on the analyzer here and then I'll press the Spacebar to start playback. (drum music) So you can see that from left to right, we have low frequency to high frequency, and with the low frequencies on the left, you can see the kick drum.
