- How do you typically open your presentations? Do you dive right into the deck? Maybe you tell a corny joke, or maybe you tell the client how much you appreciate the chance to win their business. Chances are, if you do any of those things, your competition is probably doing the exact same thing. So if you want to open your pitches differently, you need to be able to do something more unique. You want to convey your aspirations for the customer, and you also want to set your expectations for the meeting. So first, let's focus on the aspirational piece. You know, sometimes salespeople get a bad rap for exaggerating, but sharing your aspirations is more heartfelt, and it's actually a great way to start.
