- Successful relationships between sales and product are dependent upon a continual feedback loop. Differentiated sales people are differentiated even when they're not in front of their customer. However, in many organizations, sales people don't have access to the product team or sales is perceived as whiny in the eyes of product and product is perceived as inflexible in the eyes of the sales people. It's a no win situation. Differentiated organizations align their product team and their sales team around one thing, customer success. If you have the opportunity to communicate with your product team, either formally or informally, there are three things you should keep in mind. First, don't be whiny.
