If I'm trying to pivot my career, should I mention this?

(upbeat music) - So you're making a pivot. Should you mention that in your cover letter? Yeah, that's a good idea. Otherwise, the reviewer might look at your resume and wonder why are you applying for this job in the first place. I'll also suggest that you spell out in that letter how your current skills and experience will help you be a strong performer in the field that you're working to enter. Don't ever assume that anyone is going to deduce how or why you make sense for a role that's not a perfect match for your background. Spell it out. (upbeat music)
