Do I need to use a particular format?
(light dreamy music) - Do you need to use a particular format on your cover letter? This is an interesting question. First, if the job description or application instructions call for something specific, then for sure. If not, certainly you want to make it professional, and ideally align the look and feel with your resume. But beyond that, there's really no one perfect format. People sometimes get so hung up on being right, that they come across as being rigid. As a recruiter, I would much rather have that cover letter be an engaging, on-point read, than match some stringent format formula. Now that said, make sure you nail the spelling and the grammar. That is an unbending requirement. (fast pace music) Bang, bang, bang. Nail it to the wall.
