Importing bitmaps
- In this video, we're going to discuss the importing of bitmaps, also known as raster images. Now, when you open a file, you're creating a brand new file. When you import an image, you're bringing an image into an existing file. I'm going to go to the file menu, and select import. Now in the folder you're importing from, if you don't see any images in here, check the bottom right-hand corner, to make sure you have all files selected. I'm going to click on this file, and then I'll select import. Now my cursor looks like the, upper left-hand corner of a picture frame, and it gives me some information. I can see the file name, I can see the size of the image, and then it gives me some instructions. I can click and drag to resize. I can press enter to center on the page. Or I can simply tap the space bar to use the original position. I'm going to tap the space bar, and that will bring that image in at the original…
