- [Instructor] In this first chapter, we're going to be looking at some of the tabs within the welcome screen. Now, if by chance you don't have the welcome screen open in Corel Draw, simply clicking on this icon will open the screen for you. Here, we're going to see how easy it can be to start a new document or open an existing one. We'll talk about some of the workspaces that are available and then we'll discuss where to get more content. Now, the first tab in the welcome screen is the get started tab. It has five main components. They are new document, recent documents, under recent. The next section is what I refer to as give it a try. Here, you can try things in Corel Draw with some of the sample files. Below that, we have open document and new from template. Open document allows me to open up other CDR files that I may have been created that are not listed in the recent files. And new from template of course, will open up the new template dialog box. We'll be taking a look at that in a later chapter.
