- Copilot's Formula Assistance can help answer one of the most common questions asked about spreadsheets. What on earth is this formula doing? Okay? I'm sure we can word it a little bit more eloquently than that, but let's get set up first. With the exercise file open for this movie, make sure that you're on the forecast tab, and next, go ahead and invoke Copilot. Earlier in this course, I mentioned that I skipped a few steps ahead and created a formula to summarize the sales data here for the 2021 to 2024 fiscal years by product. Now, this is all very well and good, but what on Earth is this formula actually doing? Let's ask Copilot, what is the formula in cell C8 doing? Hmm, not quite what we wanted. You see, Copilot is telling us that it can't access the specific contents of cell C8, which isn't ideal, but at least we're being guided on what we can do.
