- [Narrator] Many times your estimate, or bid, is proposed to the customer by filling in a bid sheet, or form, with your final number. Easy enough. Other times, however, you need to submit a bid proposal in writing to the customer or owner. This is typically a business letter format with all the pertinent information relating to your price. Okay, so maybe we're not actually mailing letters as much as we used to, but we will use the same format and deliver by fax or email or some sort of electronic means. Welcome to the 21st century.
