- Browsers have become a very important part of computing. You're probably familiar with some of the more common browsers such as Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, and even Mac Safari browser. Each browser is designed to do the same main feature, browse the internet. Let's take a look. Here in my computer, I have two different browsers available to me, Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. Both of them do the same thing, they're both browsers. However, there are differences between the different browsers such as menus, settings, available extensions to use, and even compatibility with different websites. Each browser will generally have a default search engine. Chrome uses, well, Google, makes sense, right? Safari on a Mac and Firefox also use Google. Microsoft Edge uses Bing. The Brave Browser uses Brave's search engine. The great thing is that you can edit your default browser. This means that inside the settings, you can change to whichever search engine you prefer.
