- Now, we've talked about the concept of availability in general, but I want to talk about it specific to your resources. So, different resources might demand different levels of availability or access, and that's what we're going to talk about when we look at resource availability. So, first of all, the thing that most cloud providers use to give you resource availability is a region. And it can be defined as a geographic area, like a country or collection of countries, where cloud networks are deployed for customer access. So, for example, AWS, GCP, Azure, they all have different data centers in different parts of the world. These are regional coverage data centers, but they have multiple data centers within some regions, so a higher-demand region will have more data centers, and a lower-demand region will have fewer data centers.
