- We talked about network troubleshooting earlier in the course, and some of the things you have to troubleshoot related to your network configuration in the cloud. What I want to do here is talk about an advanced troubleshooting method that is not always performed, and that's something called protocol analysis. So protocol analysis can be used for several things. You can use it to identify network actions. You can see what's going on on the network, what kind of actions are being taken across the network. You can use it to identify network flows, what endpoint is communicating with what other endpoint, and what kind of communications are they utilizing. You can identify anomalies, unusual behaviors on the network, and you can troubleshoot issues. You can identify errant systems. In other words, they're formulating the data wrong for network transmission, a malformed TCP segment, a malformed IP packet, a malformed Ethernet…
