- Ah, my old Dell laptop, me and this guy have seen a lot of plane trips together. So what I want to talk about in this episode is recycling, because the one thing you're not going to do with this laptop is throw it in the trash. There's good reasons for that, and that's beyond simply being a good denizen of this earth. And that is, there's data on these. There's stuff like that that really comes into play. So when we're talking about getting rid of old computer equipment, the word is recycling. So let's talk about some of the different types of parts we have laying around. The big one that everybody asks me about are batteries. So my rule is is little alkaline batteries like these double As, you can throw 'em in the trash, just regular trash.
