- One of the most dangerous thing about most wireless access points, especially these SOHO router switch wireless access points all in one box, is that if you plug them in right, they're pretty much working. I mean, not only are they routing, but they're also switching, and the wireless access point is running automatically. So, these are things we kind of are glad that they're easy, but they can also be pretty dangerous from a security standpoint. Look, the first thing we're going to want to do before we even plug this in is we're going to run a site survey. So I've got a little Wi-Fi analyzer. There's lots of these. I use one from Ubiquiti Networks called WiFiman. And this tool's just going to look around and show me what wireless networks are already up and running. So as I fire this guy up, first of all, you see this big list. So these are all these different Wi-Fi networks. Up at the top, you see who I'm already connected to.
