- [Narrator] You may be surprised to learn that there are limits to what you can build at Amazon, that is, limits without talking to somebody at Amazon and laying out your plan as to how many load balances you need, how many EC2 instances you need in a particular region, how much storage you actually need, or other services. So there are limits and quotas assigned to resources at AWS. These are going to protect you, according to Amazon, from provisioning more resources than you need. That's one way of looking at it, but you want to be aware of it. You don't want to say, "My design needs 20 load balancers," and then you can't figure out why you can't order that 10th load balancer. And the reason is you haven't updated or increased the limits as to what you're allowed to use and order. So be aware of default service quotas and constraints for all services and resources that you order at AWS. This is part of planning for reliability. Think of it this way.
