- [Instructor] The Include LOD Calculation allows us to create calculations at a lower level of detail than what our view is. Now, that can be useful if we want to look at dimensions that aren't part of the view that would cause it to look very, very messy, but we still want to get some useful information. So, for example, what about if we wanted to know, what's the average sale of a product compared to the product category? So, if I put product Category onto the row, and we look at the Sales, and I change that to be the average sales per product, changed the measure from Sum to Average, I can see the average sales for my products is, if I turn the labels on, 343, 119 and 450 for each of my three categories. Now, I want to know, what's the average selling price for a product within those categories? Now, if I add Product to the view, it's going to get very messy because I've got lots of products. So, if we put Product name onto the row, Tableau warns us, it's going to add over 2,000…
