- [Instructor] One option we have for creating dashboards are creating floating dashboards. If we were to use a tiled layout, we're constrained with aligning everything to the grid. And in some cases that works really well, but in other cases, it's not necessarily a good use of space. Let's look at an example. So if I switch this dashboard into tiled mode, so I've got a bar chart and a map that I would like to have in that same view. So I'll drag my bar chart in first, and then I need to add my map. Well, if I put my map underneath my bar chart, then I lose a lot of information from my bars. I'm only showing this at the top eight or so states. Okay, well, what happens if I move the map to the right of the bar chart? How does that look? Right, well, I can see more of my states, which is good, but there's an awful lot of white space at the top and bottom of that map. It doesn't size to fit that space.
