- [Deepak] It is important to understand that, what is the prerequisite knowledge needed to learn this SQL for Data Engineering course? The good news is that you don't need any prerequisite knowledge as such, either about the SQL, or about the data engineering. In this course, we are going to start from SQL basics, and we try to build all that knowledge needed to learn SQL from the data engineering perspective. Although, if you have any database knowledge then it'll be a plus for you, but again, it is not mandatory. From the data engineering side also, we try to cover the basics of data engineering whenever and wherever needed throughout the course, as this course is not just a theory, but a practical-driven course. So for this, we are going to need the PostgreSQL. If you have any idea about the PostgreSQL, it will be good. And if you are hearing this term in itself for the first time, then rest assured, we have covered how you can download and set up PostgreSQL right from the basics, and we have a quick tour of explaining how you can use that tool for practicing your SQL. There is also the option to follow along using GitHub Codespaces, if you prefer. I will go over codespaces in the next movie.
