Assignment: Cloning a pluggable database

Assignment: Cloning a pluggable database

- [Instructor] We're now onto the assignment for cloning a pluggable database. Here's a few questions here, starting out with cloning is much simpler in Oracle with multi-tenant. You're going to create a clone of the FREEPDB1 database. You're going to then run the CREATE PLUGGABLE DATABASE from PDB Command and create a new clone. You'll need to log into the clone and verify it's running. If not, start it. Switch to that PDB and verify that you are logged into the new PDB and not the one you cloned from. And then check the background processes and files created at the OS level. Hints and callouts. Verify that you're in the CDB to perform that clone of the PDB. And another hint here, query an existing file to verify the datafile directories. It'll make it easier for you versus trying to figure out where all the files are. So it's now time for you to do this assignment. I'm going to see you in the next walkthrough video.
