Installing the IPFire firewall
- [Instructor] The next firewall we'll look at is IPFire. This firewall comes as an ISO file, and for configuration, uses color coded subnets. I've downloaded the ISO file and uploaded it into Proxmox. So, let's install it. We'll create a VM using the VM ID, 515, and call it ipfire. We'll select the ipfire iso. We don't need all that disk. We'll just drop it to 16 gigs. We'll actually run on 8. And single core. And 1 gig memory. And we won't start it after we create it as we've got two additional network cards to add. So, we'll finish that. And in our hardware, we've got one network device we'll add. The vmbr1 network card and the vmbr2 network card. Okay, we're ready to start up the VM to begin installation. We'll start and open a console. And we'll install IPFire. We'll select English and start the installation. Press Space to accept the license and we'll agree to delete all data. We'll keep the XT4 file system and the installation starts. Okay. So, we'll now remove our media and…
