- [Instructor] The approach we'll take with the tools we cover in this course is to install them and then take them for an initial run to check out their features. To do that, it's useful to have a lab environment in which we can test solutions. We have two main choices as to the type of lab we can use. The first is to use a virtual environment on our laptop, such as VMware, Hyper-V, or VirtualBox. We won't be using this type of lab, but if you'd prefer to do so, then check out my Kali Linux Essential Training course to learn how to set up a virtual box lab on your laptop. The second and much better choice for our lab is to use a dedicated server running the Proxmox Virtual Environment. This is the lab we'll be using in most of this course, and we'll walk through how to build it in the next video. We can set up a very good lab using a secondhand computer, or if you want the best, then we can invest in a low cost but high performance Nox style mini computer. We can then use an entry…
