Complete Guide to Microsoft 365 for Administrators: Introduction
- Welcome to the Complete Guide to Microsoft 365 for Administrators. If you're an enterprise desktop support technician who administers a Microsoft 365 subscription, this course is for you. The course provides an in-depth description of the core services in Microsoft 365 and helps you to plan and customize your tenant and subscription. The course explains how to use the administration tools provided in Microsoft 365 to perform typical administrative tasks. You'll then learn more detailed information about administering the core services, such as Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive. You'll learn how to administer these services and customize them to your user's needs. You'll also learn how to troubleshoot these core services. In addition, you'll gain an insight into directory synchronization for operating in a hybrid on-premises environment. I'm Andrew Warren and I'm a Microsoft certified trainer. And I've taught thousands of students in hundreds of courses, over the years. I've also helped develop Microsoft Official curriculum courseware. Lately, I've been writing books and developing videos for Microsoft Press. But like you, I started my career working in a support environment, helping to resolve users' problems with their technology. I developed good problem-solving and communication skills, which served me well over the years in other IT roles, all of which makes me qualified to be your instructor and guide you through these sessions. I'll combine lectures along with many demonstrations, together with some suggestions about tasks you could consider performing yourself. After completing the course, you should be able to plan and provision your Microsoft 365 subscription, administer Microsoft 365 using both the various admin centers, but also Windows PowerShell, manage cloud identities, and create and manage security principals, such as users and groups, implement on-premises directory synchronization, deploy and administer Microsoft 365 apps for Enterprise, administer and troubleshoot Exchange Online, administer and troubleshoot Microsoft Teams, administer and troubleshoot SharePoint Online and OneDrive, implement compliance and security in Microsoft 365. With these skills, you should be able to provision, customize, and administer a Microsoft 365 subscription. So let's begin.
