- [Presenter] Now that we have a good grasp of identity and access management concepts, let's see how it's possible to centrally manage access to multiple accounts with Identity Center. IAM Identity Center is a service design to centralize your workforce's access to web applications and AWS accounts. Within AWS, you may be accustomed to provisioning permissions to individual IAM users. However, with Identity Center, you can centrally define permissions and grant them to Identity Center users across multiple AWS accounts. If you work with an organization with an existing identity source, like Microsoft Active Directory, you can use that identity source to map your existing users to users within Identity Center. Conceptually, this is similar to federating external access with IAM Users. Identity Center is not just for managing access to AWS accounts.
