- [Instructor] There are two business intelligence tools I see most often on analytics engineering job requirements, and they are Tableau and Power BI. Tableau is owned by Salesforce, a leading CRM tool, and Power BI was created by Microsoft, one of the largest software platforms in the world. Unfortunately, Power BI is more geared towards Windows users, so Tableau is a better option for those on Mac. We'll be using Tableau Public to build our dashboard. It's free and runs in your browser, so you don't need to download anything to follow along. Let's navigate to Tableau Public's website. You can follow the link below or type id.tableau.com/register. Log into your account or create one. If you're creating your account, you'll need to confirm your account by selecting the link in the email you received from Tableau.
