In team communication, clarity is key. And just because you said it doesn't mean it's clear or that the listener understood your message as you intended. This is why check back strategies are important. Clarity in communication reduces errors, accelerates decision-making and reduces delays. Here are three Ps to move your message from foggy to focused. Your message should have a clear purpose, be precise and be followed with a proof of understanding. The first P, purpose. Don't bury the lead or your ask. Get to the point so that the purpose of your communication is clear. A quick clarity checklist can help you audit your message. Who is involved? What is expected? When is the timeline? Where will this take place and why? The second P, precision. Vague messages are often at the heart of miscommunication.
