- One of the things I always like to prepare when we're talking about an initiative, and particularly if the initiative didn't go to plan, is what did we learn from it? Now, a word of caution. Sometimes the executive that you're presenting to, they could be upset that the initiative didn't go as planned, and so you got to read the room a little bit, but if there's an appropriate moment, I think it's very helpful to show that not only do you and the team have the intention to get things on track as much as possible, but also that you're going to take some of these learnings and make the whole company better. Perhaps, In the example we just used, we really missed a step in our market research to understand the role of multiple language and how European customers were going to buy.
